A little more about Willa … Willa Shalit is the co-founder of Road to Market and President of Maiden Nation.She has brought women’s economic opportunity into post-conflict zones and communities devastated by natural disasters. Willa has worked with women on-the-ground in Israeli, Rwanda, Haiti and regions of the world. She is also extremely well known as an original producer of Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” and she co-founded V-Day, which to-date has raised and distributed more than $85M (U.S.) to help stop violence against women and girls.
Willa’s work has been the subject of a PBS television special and has been reported by global media including The New York Times, the International Herald Tribune, Marie Claire magazine, and O, The Oprah Magazine. A little more about Deirdre Breakenridge … Deirdre Breakenridge is an author, entrepreneur and CEO of Pure Performance Communications. A 25-year veteran in PR and marketing, she is the author of five Financial Times Press books including her latest titles, “Social Media and Public Relations,” and “Putting the Public Back in Public Relations.” Breakenridge speaks nationally and internationally on the topics of PR, social media and marketing. She's an adjunct professor at NYU and UMASS at Amherst, a recognized blogger at PR Expanded, and also the co-founder of #PRStudChat, a dynamic twitter chat with PR professionals, educators and students.
