Women Worldwide with Deirdre Breakenridge

Stacey Horowitz, the founder and president of Shopping for a Change®, which was established to create an extended global marketplace for fair trade products by artisans, artisan co-ops, and companies that employ these artisans, predominantly women, from economically disadvantaged areas throughout the world joins Host Deirdre Breakenridge on Women Worldwide. As Stacey approached age 50, she felt a stronger need than ever to make a difference in the world, and wanted to do so on a global scale.

On the show, Stacey discusses how a trip to Peru changed her life, connecting her to women artisans in the region. She built her business, Shopping for a Change® , to not only help artisans and their communities, but also to create a business model that funds US charities of the customer's choice at checkout. As a busy entrepreneur, Stacey openly discusses her "Take Action" attitude and how "you can't sit on the fence" when you want to make big changes.
